Wootton vs Northwest 25-18 25-19 25-16 Both sides played well, all starters. That was the boys' score. The coed game was much closer - 5 sets, Wootton won, 25-17, 25-23, 17-25, 21-25, 15-13. Great match, both teams scored the exact same number of points and share the Division title.

Blair who is 2-6... nearly defeats Gburg (undefeated) 5 games... whoaa, how crazy is that! just shows anything could happen in this game. Best of luck to Blair... they just could be a cinderella story that everyone always wishes for.
Game 1 - 25-8 (Gburg) Game 2 - 25-14 (Gburg) Game 3 - 23-25 (Blair) Game 4 - 24-26 (Blair) Game 5 - 10-15(Gburg)
One other thing is... it's always so hard to find good line judges. I wish the county had enough money to hire them. There were some bad line judging at the game. I would've swore some of the balls were out but the line judge called it in. If you ask me, i think he was trying to cheat lol but how knows.

Yesterday, they gained their captain Nika Lilley back from injury. Gaithersburg was her first game back and she played phenomenal. That was the boost that Blair needed! Blair is now a force if you ask me. Especially with all around Nika Lilley, libero Libby Wei, and middle hitter Pape Koite. With a great supporting cast they have a great team now that everyone is back on the team. And line judges at the game were fair, they did not cheat. One line judge was from Blair and one was from Gaithersburg, both line judged well.

Based on what I've seen on a certain, unnamed social networking site, one of the line judges "enhanced the game a little" and "called it as [he] hoped [he'd] see it."

The game is over - Gburg won. It's not really the time or place to discuss the line judging, even if it may have been iffy. I happen to know the line judge and never saw any comments of that sort. The ref made some bad calls too, but Gburg played a good game and still won, so while it's regrettable if the line judge did happen to be thinking in such a way, it's not something that can currently be changed and it didn't affect the overall outcome of the game. He doesn't typically line judge, so it's not something that should happen again, nor should it need to be discussed quite this much.

A couple questions from a newbie to Coed VB: - Are the Divisions made up with the same teams as the Boys? - What is the playoff format? All teams or division winners or what? - Is this info available at a well-concealed MCPS website somewhere? Thanks for any help.

His name is Trey and he's a sophomore. He is hoping to be well for the playoffs, but has a pretty severe ankle injury.
