Thanks, Coach Zanni, for keeping this board alive. Just a couple of quick thoughts to get the conversation going.
On the top of the list is Wootton. They had a strong team last year, taking down Northwest during the regular season. They lost almost nothing to graduation, and have some very good JV players coming up. With competition at a lot of positions and no glaring weaknesses, they should go far in the State Tournament.
On the other side of the coin is B-CC, who had a very strong team last year and was on the verge of beating Northwest in the playoffs, but couldn't close the deal. They lost at least 5 strong players to graduation, and this will be a rebuilding year.
Churchill doesn't look at all like the undersized, scrappy teams of the past few seasons that clawed their way to victory. They have at least 4 tall girls that will be competing for the MH/RS positions, and a good compliment of passers and setters. They may surprise some people.
Magruder has at least 3 very strong hitters. The question is will the serve receive and setting be consistent enough to unleash them. (sorry, coach Z)
Let the season begin!

BCCs got a new coach too. But they will fight back.
Anybody hear how NW is looking? They lost their two big hitters who were also passers but they had a lot left.
Whitman should be strong this year and next. Filled with hitters and a great libero.
WJ too will be strong.
Blair and RM will be super scrappy.
But I agree Wootton will be the team to prepare for. They will be firing and digging from all positions.

Watch out for WJ... their defense can keep them in long rallies.

What's going on with County Sports Zone this year? This is the worst year in terms of scores posting. Are the coaches responsible for posting to CSZ, or do they post it to an internal Montgomery County site and the information gets relayed to CSZ?

Watch out for WJ... their defense can keep them in long rallies. I feel vindicated...

Watch out for WJ... their defense can keep them in long rallies. I feel vindicated... CSZ has the Magruder-WJ score reported incorrectly. Magruder won 3-1 in a closely contested match.

The people that underestimated the Colonels can have humble pie. There were many good teams in MoCo but no one more consistently good than Magruder.

Have the All-Met teams been posted. O keep looking but feel like I missed them. I've been told the All-Met teams should be out this week. My guess would be Wednesday or Thursday, but that's just a guess.
