Wootton's set record is actually 9-2. They beat Blair in 5.

Northwood is 0-4 but their game record is 12-0. I believe that should be switched. Not a huge deal though

Can someone explain to me how they figure teams in divisions for MCPS girls and boys volleyball? Is it by size or results or both?

As far as I can tell, it's more or less random. They only change once every two years though.

It is configured by results + closeness to eachother. That is why two very good teams might be in the same division, if they are close by. It is not always true, though.

Sorry folks, but none of the above explanation are accurate.
The boys/coed divisions are created using the overall records of the past two years for BOTH boys and coed. It's a weird system.
When new divisions are created every two years here is how it works (short version):
-take the overall records for the boys and coed teams for for the previous two years. -the schools that have a combined high winning percentage are tier 1 teams -schools in the mid range are tier two teams -schools in the low range are tier three teams.
MCPS then tries to make all the divisions have roughly the same number of 1's, 2's and 3's. In doing this part of the process proximity of schools is also looked at.
