I will be tracking boys records again this year. Will post when the first update in online.
Also---there is no moving up or moving down a division in volleyball. The divisions are redone every two years, but there are no "upper" or "lower" divisions like you have in tennis, swimming, etc.

But thanks Coach Zanni for helping to keep track of boys record. Always helpful Heard Magruder is starting the year strong.( boys ofc.) Maybe a team to watch for any thoughts?

www.gazette.net/stories/03232010/rockspo84317_32599.phpthe gazette preview of spring vball. It's pretty lame tbh, they left out some good schools. Watkins Mill as Dark horse (w/e that is) and Wheaton a school to watch? what a joke. Rockville should be up there. what yal think?

it was an interesting article, and i think dark horse mean hit or miss teams. I was also suprised to not find rockville mentioned.

Wheaton being not so good? I dont know about that.. They seem to lost only one player. Which is also the best player. The tall asian middle. But I would rather play against wheaton with that guy becuase he loved to swing into the net or go under 50% of the time. I think they are running a 6-2 this year and probably recruited basketball players as middle. If they dont win 10 games I'll be very surprised.

Last year I read on this board from so many posters (most of the anonymous type) how RM was so over rated all year. How they were lucky to win at times. Yet they won the county. I always think it's better to let the season play out than insult teams. Who know what type of season Wheaton will have, but before someone tarnishes them consider... Wheaton was one of the top 8 seeded boys teams last year. Wheaton's coach is Tom Seigrist. Coach Siegrist has been at Wheaton several years and has built a nice program at a school that normally has no/few club players. I can vouch he was a pretty good high school player who played in the MVP Program at that time (when it was run by Shang Hsiung).

Personally i prefer to not insult teams, I see no fun in bashing people at a sport some of us love to play

I agree. We should wait to see any team in action before judging them.
As for Wheaton, I have seen their team in action. No, they are not bad and yes, I do believe that they may be a dark horse this year. They have players with solid technique and they also seem to have a good sense of volleyball, not just athleticism.

Magurder boys are doing decent this year, 4-0 is a very good outlook to starting there season. Also that 16, i believe his name is Andrew Ow, is a steller outside hitter
