Beautiful display of teamwork as well as physical and mental superiority Magruder Colonels! You didn't waiver in your determination to show the County who the best team is. Serving and passing was extraordinary and other then two players on Gaithersburg who ran off a few serves on you - it was obvious you were in control the entire match. It's nice to see the confidence and obvious talent you possess over ALL other Montgomery County teams shine through in all 3 games. Winning in 3 convincing games was sublime.
Keep it up and bring home a State Championship - you have the ability and talent - no doubt about it ;D

Coming into this game, Magruder was the quiet team that many began to overlook after losing so many wonderful players the past 2 years. People thought that the talent and the capabilities of a certainly top-notch group would eventually run out. But you ladies proved them wrong.
Gaithersburg had been on the lips of "experts" from the Gazette and even The Post, saying they'd become "the best." But again, you ladies refused to believe that. Watching that game, I was utterly impressed. A 3 game sweep means business.
However, don't get too big-headed now. There's still a long ways until Ritchie! But keep up the great work, ladies.
And Coach Zanni, year after year you continue to provide Magruder with the best in the county, if not the state. You're a fantastic coach. Sometimes you're overlooked, but without your guidance Magruder's spot amongst the elite would not have been possible. We don't care how long you've been at MHS, just keep on doing what you're good at and that's winning.
17-0 is quite impressive Colonels. Downing Good Counsel, Paint Branch, Sherwood, and now Gaithersburg is even more astounding. I'll be watching your Damascus matchup on the 27th, but I'm gonna have to root for my alma mater on this one. Sorry. ;D
Good luck with the rest of the season and stay injury-free!
